The Animated Series' Showrunner Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Will a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator commented earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season moves, and how many of what they're anticipating unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible reveals, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people create a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
